'Sunset in pink', Watercolour, 22 inches X 15 1/2 inches (56 X 39cm).

Acrylic and watercolour on bonded massa paper. Whilst on holiday in Newquay, I photographed this wonderful sunset, and was inspired by the play of light on the undulating wet sand.

I wanted to portray the painting as a whole in an abstract manner rather than photographically, and was relatively pleased with the ethereal quality that the reflections on the wet sand were produced.
